The Myths About Risk Taking
Arjun Gupta invited Gilman to make a keynote presentation at his annual VC Ecosystem Event in October, 2007. This is Gilman’s powerpoint file, but speaking as his partner, I’d have to say that it doesn’t do Gilman’s actual delivery justice. If we can ever lay our hands on the video, we’ll try to post that here too.

I love this - but without the dynamic narrator, I can’t tell if the Famous Last Words list is meant to be truths or errors or a mix….perhaps labeling it for those of us who are slower :)

Robin, the famous last words (by VCs) turns out to be poor advice in most cases. I’ve included notes of my narrative in the note section of the powerpoint You can view the notes using powerpoint’s “Normal View”. (It’s the one with 3 panels).

While NASCAR and other key references were included I find no intergalactic references that make sense. I would also like ot see a slide saying “don’t try this at home”.
