No single phone is perfect and different users have different needs/expectations. I, for example love to drive with my iPhone, plugged into my audio system, streaming live radio from France, Britain, etc. So much better than XM/Sirius radio.

On the other hand, I hate the "mechanical" hardware switch you must use to silence the ringer. This should be a software issue, and allow for apps to provide custom control for this feature, like users have on Blackberries and Nokia (Symbian) phones.

Apple, like Whole Foods, another mecca for the "counter culture types" in the final assessment is a rabidly capitalistic and operates as much on the American corporate competitive/control model as Microsoft or Exxon/Mobil. They just have "prettier" stuff.

Iphone is innovative in many ways and maybe best in its league, fast surfing and lots of neat features. I just feel somethings missing, I really dont think that touchscreen is the future and I know most people disagree with me there. I just think its messy.

I had Iphone 3gs 16GB for about a month, and sold it today. Like applecomputers which I work with every day the os is a very closed system and little to alter when it comes to personality or how you use your setups.

I think that the iphone is a great device but I still feel that there's something missing and I'm not afraid to admit it either. Android is very much a work in progress at the moment but if Google could find a way to integrating their online apps and services with their Android phones they will eventually become the darlings of the smartphone world. P.S. I think the current wave of Android phones are amazing, I especially like the HTC Hero.

Well, I just have to say I DO like it.

And find Google to be a less worthy kind of enterprise/corporation - not to mention, I don't like their phone.

However, I still like Google enough to be glad it's so easy to use Google maps on my iPhone.

Ironically I love my G1 Google phone. Could not be a more pleasant experience. No I am not hyping its just the fact that everything Google does is "first class"! The Android operating system is pretty smooth for being almost a beta. I have never been more exited about the mobile market services opportunities that will emerge from the growth of this platform. CPA by GPS are my new initials!
