Stewart: I agree that the potential is there, but I think there's something holding a droid challenge to RIM. Namely, marketing. The marketing of the droid, and all android smartphones (think HTC), has been oriented toward early adopters and the younger generations. Not corporate users. Very little attempt (that I can see) has been made to target android to corporate users. The segment of RIM's market that the droid cuts into (despite its competitive hardware) is, from my view, the younger population that carries a blackberry because it's "cool". And there, one barrier is the lack of BB messenger, which is very popular among teens and 20-somethings. Perhaps Motorola/Google/Verizon should reconsider their marketing plan.

After having been a Blackberry user for several years and nw dealing with the DROID...I miss the Blackberry. I'm going back to the Tour. Sometimes, "new" is exciting...but performance and reliability count for one heck of a lot so I am going back!
